Kris Aasted is a driving force behind retained executive search serving the technology sectors. His impeccable track record, history of exceeding his clients’ expectations and flexible, service-based approach have made him one of North America’s leading retained executive search consultants.
Prior to founding Aasted & Associates in 2001, Kris Aasted was a Partner within the technology and venture practices of two of the world’s leading search firms, Heidrick & Struggles and Christian & Timbers. He is recognized in the retained executive search industry for his exceptional search performance. Throughout his career, he has exceeded the retained executive search industry’s benchmarks for execution performance by a factor of two or three.
Before entering the search industry, Kris Aasted spent several years working with The Boston Consulting Group and Andersen Consulting, where he consulted top-level management on strategic analysis and implementation in several key practice areas, including competitive strategy, mergers and acquisitions, post-merger integration and turnarounds.
Kris Aasted is a graduate of The Wharton School, where he earned an MBA in Finance and Accounting. He also earned a BS in Industrial Engineering, a BA in Economics and an MS in Industrial Engineering, all from Stanford University. He is fluent in Danish and Dutch. In his spare time he struggles with golf and enjoys collecting vintage electric guitars.
